Range Riches
PROXIMITY
Official rules
The national closest-to-the-pin challenge. Any sim, any skill — free to play.
Free to play
No purchase necessary and no account required. Entering is free, and buying anything from Range Riches or a sponsor does not improve your chances.
Void where prohibited by law.
Skill, not chance
This is a skill-based contest. Placement is determined entirely by how you strike the golf ball — there is no random draw and no element of chance in scoring.
How scoring works
Every shot is scored out of 100. The closer you finish to the pin, the higher your score, and a holed shot scores a perfect 100.
Distance matters too: sticking it close from a longer carry scores higher than the same proximity from a short wedge. If two shots score the same, the longer carry ranks ahead.
Weekly and monthly competition
The weekly board ranks individual shots and resets every Monday. The all-time board keeps the best individual shots ever logged.
The monthly board ranks players by the total of their best 20 shots for the calendar month, and resets at the start of each month.
Up to 5 scoring entries per week count toward your monthly total. You may keep logging shots after that — they still appear on the weekly and all-time boards, they just do not add monthly points.
Nothing is deleted at a reset. Boards simply show the current period.
Entry requirements
Enter your carry distance and proximity to the pin exactly as shown on your launch monitor. A photo of that shot data on screen is required with every entry.
Each photo must be its own shot. Re-submitting the same photo is rejected automatically.
Eligibility and prizes
You must be 18 or older to receive a prize. Players under 18 may enter and appear on the leaderboards, but any prize must be claimed by a parent or legal guardian on their behalf.
We do not knowingly accept entries from anyone under 13.
Winners are contacted at the email address used to enter, so keep it accurate.
Review and disqualification
Winning entries are reviewed before prizes are awarded. Any attempt to submit falsified or duplicate shots results in disqualification and removal from all leaderboards.
The judge's decision is final in all matters relating to scoring, eligibility, and prize awards.
